Erin and I are members of
Pictage, which is a service for professional photographers that enables photo sharing and professional photography services. For the last several months, I have been getting periodic emails letting us know that they have monthly Pictage User Group (PUG) meetings in Tacoma. The Tacoma meetings are hosted by
Me Ra Koh and her husband Brian. This months meeting promised to include models (bride/groom and an engaged couple) and we would have the opportunity to photograph them.

So this past Wednesday Erin and I travelled to Tacoma hoping that we would learn a little something, but not expecting too much. We ended up being blown away! Me Ra, her husband and everyone that attended were incredibly open and helpful and we ended up learning a great deal, but more importantly were very motivated by the conversation afterwards.

Photography is such a passion in my life and the better I get at it, the more I yearn to share what I know with others and my clients. It was clear to Erin and I the other night that this is also the case with a number of professional photographers in the Seattle/Tacoma area. Me Ra and others that attended are incredibly successful and well known, but they take the time to help others and share what they know. What a refreshing industry!
